What legal sites do y'all enjoy the most? Ease of use? I was seriously looking at walmart music, but there was this little sticking point that was confusing me. Ok, download your song and a license file for the song. Now, if I'm understanding it correctly, the song will not work without this license file. So, it would probably to send the song over messenger or email, right? And burning it, wonder how you mess with the license file for that one? Also, is this standard? These separate files? Of course Walmart music grabbed me, because of their low price; 88 cents per track. Pretty cool huh? All other sites seem to be 99 cents. I'd appreciate any downloading advice. Thank you.
Good afternoon. I use Walmart and it's excellent. you can't share the files in there original WMA state because they are protected by DRM(digital rights management) and require a lisence to listen to them. You can burn them to a CD and then creat MP3 files out of them. Walmart allows 10 CD burns per file and will allow unlimited transfers to a DRM compatible portable device(MP3 player). Here is a link to a review of 6 music download sites by Access World a publication put out monthly by AFB(american Foundation for the Blind).

Smile Willy, thanks! I had just found that article as well. It was quite informative. I think Walmart is what I'd end up choosing as well.
I use www.metacrawler.com

Hey! If you're into independent artists and labels, I highly recommend www.emusic.com. I have found this site to be extremely accessible. The only drawback is that if you're looking for popular music from major labels and artists, emusic may not have it available. The selection they do have is, imho, excellent.
I haven't tried this yet but I know yahoo music has a large selection as well. If only msn music was more accessible!
